Earlier this week, I found out that my historical romance EVERYTHING BUT THE EARL is a finalist in this year’s Golden Rose contest. (For a close approximation of my feelings on this, please see the surrounding GIFs of my other favorite Golden Rose.)
Rose City Romance Writers (RCRW)—a chapter of Romance Writers of America—runs this contest every year.* It's a ton of work, all done by volunteers, and I want to thank them for giving aspiring authors like me this amazing opportunity to get feedback on, and exposure for, our efforts.
Come next spring, if you find yourself with an unpublished romance novel of your own—whether paranormal, contemporary, historical, or any other sub-genre—I highly encourage you to send it in for consideration.
*I'm a member of both organizations.
